The last of the first series of Wonder Woman prints
Prints are selling OK, but the better they do, the higher the chance I'll do more.
Go! http://www.ltdartgallery.com/product/punder-woman-series-by-andrew-wilson-blind-pack
Here are the last two of the Punder Woman designs (minus the secret one, which will remain secret).
If they sell well enough I want to do a series 2 with a dozen new designs - or perhaps more. So share this post with your buddies and pick up a blind pack of 3 for 30 bucks. They came out really well and I'm sure you'll love them.
cheers,
&Rew.

Thanks for taking a look. I'll keep posting Punder Women until I'm done, but should the concept take off, I'd love to keep painting more and more. Do share the LTD shop link with your Wonder Woman fan friends, and I'll keep you up to date on whether a series two is in the cards.

| Punker Woman, a more rare one. I wanted to paint a mowhawk. Doesn't everybody? |

| Chunder Woman. Yes. She's upchucking a rainbow. I'm pretty sure girls are made out of rainbows, so it's appropriate. |

Wonder Women art. Pondering purchasing a print, people? Please procede.
Punder Women.
http://www.ltdartgallery.com/product/punder-woman-series-by-andrew-wilson-blind-pack
I did my two favorite things at once : made puns and painted colorful pinup art. And who's benefiting from this? You are. Because prints are for sale.
They're blind packs. I got the idea from Mike Mitchell and his Super Series + blind box toys.
I'll drop images of the different possibilities in on my blog/tumblr next week.
Please share the art, because well, if it doesn't sell well enough for me to make more, I won't. And I have about 200 concepts written down including doing more characters like Cat Woman, Super Woman, and Harley Quinn. Hell, I may even take suggestions for puns.
Prints are 8x10. More deets are listed at the LTD art gallery site.
Buy 'em here:
http://www.ltdartgallery.com/product/punder-woman-series-by-andrew-wilson-blind-pack
Wonder women was a really good opportunity for me to push my pun agenda. I tried to paint them all cute with a little bit of sexy and a little bit of grotesque, because it's fun that way. I cranked the saturation all the way up.
Thanks for stopping by and reading.

The Mighty Mother f_cking Mightor
Mighty Mightor - I remember seeing this character and saying in my nearly infant (at the time) head - "Damn, that's one smooth mother f_cker."
Mighty Mightor looked rad. I don't remember one thing about him but when that dude was on - I must've been a toddler when I'd see him - he was dope.
So here's a round of sketches of some of the characters in the Mighty Mightor.
I still have no clue what I'm going to be painting for this Hanna Barbera show.
It's super cheap that Mighty Mightor's Sheera basically looks like one of the Flintstones. Actually, all of these dudes could fit into a Flintstone cartoon. Mightor would beat the living stones off of Fred. I love the club, which is like a giant stalactite. So cool. They should bring this dude back.
¿I should sketch some Space Ghost next shouldn't I?

Hanna Barbera's Herculoids (the non human ones)
¿Who care about the humans?
We smell.
We eat all the good food.
You can't leave us alone for ten minutes without somebody f_cking somebody else up.
The monsters, at least they're colorful.
¿The humans?
They'll burn your house down and eat your babies.
The monsters, at least they have some interesting shapes to look at.
¿The humans?
Sure, some of them have boobs - real nice boobs, but not all of them.
Zok - what a jackass. I decided that I don't like drawing Zok one bit. I have him some real TLC so that you wouldn't see the hate come out. Gleep and Gloop, I phoned it in - sorry. Tundro and Igoo have some character, no?
Maybe I'll give the humans a shot at night - although it's friday and it may not be the best evening to sit and change the color of pixels on the screen.

Thundarr the Barbarian, Ookla, and Ariel
Many of the younger kids won't remember any of these, and to be honest, many of their cartoons seemed super generic and cookie cutter. There were also several incredible gems of imagination. And much of their stuff is riffed on or recycled so well that the new shows are very popular (see space ghost, harvey birdman, hell - venture brothers!) Hanna B. even did a pacman show. What the hell, right?
As I'm looking them up I'm realizing that they were involved with cartoon network and a bunch of productions well into the 90s that I would not have though were them.
I want to take a few days and explore some of the characters in their toons, pick the ones that feel the best about and throw them into a painting.
Last night I spent an hour sketching and coloring in some shapes in the form of Thundarr - one of the weird barbarian/alien cartoons that involved the Sun Sword - a wookie like Ookla and a hot olive skinned mage named Ariel.
I really want to do Herculoids next, which is more of the same weirdness. I'm really disappointed not to see more interesting homages to these sorts of characters. There are a few Jpegs out there worth merit, but not much.

MegaMan Legends Bon Bonne art
Bon Bonne is a rad design. I wanted to do the whole Bonne family but other artists snagged the other bits ya know. I wanted to capitalize on the simplicity of his shapes and an interesting silhouette. He's like a big baby, which is great.
Reblog the post on my tumblr:
http://theforgottenkingdoms.com/
Or you can peep it on the site where MegaMan boss battles lives.
Find more pieces here: http://megamanbossbattle.tumblr.com/
Some limited prints will be up eventually should there be enough interest.

April O'neil and her incredible round boobies sketches
Sketches for the April piece.
Look closely and you may notice that on the final I *ulp* painted a nose. Also it's been pointed out that I'm evolving away from round heads. (^__^) Don't worry though, I'm not yet moving away from round butts or boobies. !
Yes.
!
Prints are up on the LTD site. Limited to only 10. If you're interested, follow the rabbit hole:

TMNT April Oneil piece without any Ninja Turtles in it.
WAT you say? A painting of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
Yes. I did do that thing that I said up there.
The thing is, I LOVE the 1980s version of the Turtles with all the toys and colors and weirdness. The kid's cartoon was just awesome with that theme song and all the crazy ass characters. <3 br="br" much.="much." so="so">3>
I haven't painted a pinup piece in two minutes, and I do love boobies so. I went with April plus references to all of the things I love:
Checklist of awesome:
Baxter Stockman (as a little fly)
Bebop
Rocksteady
Krang
Shredder
Michaelangelo
Donatello
Raphael
Leonardo (their headbands and weapons)
Mousers
Usagi Yojimbo (due to to his crossover)
The foot clan
Splinter
The turtle van
Pizza
April O'neil
The ooze
and an anonymous pre-adolescent turtle.
I even threw in those cheesy Back to the Future glasses from the 80s - the ones that you could buy from Pizza Hut. Do you remember those? Yeah, they're on Bebop.
It's all in there - plus you get to see April as a big head cartoon chibi with her tits hanging out and far as I can make them without being a complete perv. Dare I say it is a good day to be a turtle fan.

&rew's Mad Monster Party art show
Phillip Graffham at Van Eaton galleries in So. Cal recently curated a show for the release of Mad Monster Party which recently came out on Blu-Ray and a book was released.
I've heard of the gallery before - they sell some really cool animation related art, so I was glad to dedicate some time to a piece.
I bought the Blu-Ray, watched it, and repainted my favorite scene. I tried to star super close to the original with a few twists of my own. I don't want it to be a total rip of the movie, but the designs were so amazing that I had no choice but to follow it closely.
It's also Halloween feeling so it works perfectly with the season.
The result is the following painting.
![]() |
| The piece is entitled "I Don Juan to look at you." It's a quote from the movie. |
I painted under the pseudonym "Andrew Wilson". Oh wait... that's my real name. Well, the artwork is sold, so I can't offer it to anyone, but if you'd like to see the other available pieces, follow the links! There are some really good pieces including sculpture, collage, and Drake Brodahl! Good stuff.
Check out the other cool artwork here:

Mad Monster Party
Dear Humans,
Phillip Graffham is curating a show at Van Eaton galleries in LA. He invited me to do a piece based on a Rankin Bass movie called Mad Monster Party.
I'd never seen it, but I Blu-Rayed it and peeped it on mah big screen.
It's BEAUTIFUL. Character designs are tits. I mean that in a few ways...
Story was well, era appropriately slow, but it's really fun to watch. Stop motion is a blast and I love the creepy yet happy looking characters in those sorts of movies. Everybody remembers the Christmas one, but this one is also pretty hotness.
I'll post up a preview now and drop the piece after the show commences.
